Oahu, Hawaii

Our next stop on our Hawaii holiday was Honolulu! We had New Year's Eve here, and we kept it low key with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then watching the fireworks from the beach. It was lovely. We spent basically the entire time swimming on Waikiki beach, eating Acai shaved ice, and pinching ourselves that we were really in Hawaii! We went to a luau (of course!) and the Dole pineapple plantation too. I didn't actually get many photos here, but there are a couple more after the jump. I thank my lucky stars every day to have a husband who I enjoy travelling so much with, and to be able to do the things that we do <3

The Big Island, Hawaii

I was lucky enough to spend Christmas this year in Hawaii! It was such a dream trip. We started off with three nights in San Francisco, and then went to Hawaii for seven nights as well. I loved it! The Big Island was by far my favourite (Honolulu was great, but very commercialised. It felt like a big resort or what I imagine Las Vegas to be like, minus all the gambling!).

We stopped in Kona, and it was so beautiful. I wish we could have had more time there, as we only stopped three nights. But the black sand beaches, volcanoes, mountains - it was just stunning. We hired a jeep to get around the island and spent an amazing few days there. We went on an open door helicopter ride too, which was certainly an experience! A few more photos after the jump.

San Francisco

In December, we went on what was an absolute dream holiday for me! We went to Hawaii, and had a stopover in San Francisco for a few nights on the way. When I was younger, I used to be obsessed with America. I used to tell anyone who would listen that I was going to move there when I grew up! So it was so nice to finally visit, as even though I've done a lot of travelling this was my first time there.

Mr Holmes Bakehouse. I can't even remember what we had but it was delicious.

Our first full day, we ended up just walking around the city and we saw so much, I think we walked 11 miles in total and I was exhausted the next day but it was so worth it!
